SIMPLE TRICK TO UPGRADE FROM WINDOWS XP SERVICE PACK 2 TO SP 3

Hello friends,for many of the windows xp users it is a problem when a software is not support in Windows xp service pack 2.By using the following trick you can easily change it from WINDOWS XP SP2 TO SP3.
I tried it and installed many softwares that is compatible with windows xp service pack 3.

These are the steps to upgrade from windows xp service pack 2 to service pack 3

  • First click on the START button and open RUN or  Windows key + r
  • In the window enter REGEDIT
  • Then the register editor will be opened.
  • And then click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
  • Click on the SYSTEM.
  • And then click on the ControlSet001
  • And click on the WINDOWS in the opened list.
  • In the side window you would get list of options
  • Their click on the CSDVersion
  • Then a box will open.
  • In the box change  the value data from 200 to 300.
  • And then close the window and all other appilications.
  • And RESTART YOUR SYSTEM.
And it is done!You have successfully upgraded from windows xp sp2 to sp3.

You can check it even by  left click on the MY COMPUTER icon and click on properties.Their you can see that it is Service Pack 3.
